Site Now on Digg

This site has been entered on Digg. You can vote for it here: http://digg.com/tech_news/Backstabbed_by_Netscape

It's now on Reddit too: http://reddit.com/info/c40r/comments

Anyone want to enter it on Netscape? I'd love to see if we can get it to the front page! I'll bet CK or one of the Anchors will delete it.

Both digg and netscape need to get real about who is actually running the site. The users do all the work and should be compensated for that.

Even small digg clones like indianpad.com give all ad revenue back to the active users.

Right now the whole concept of paying bookmarkers is brand new. If we make it work we will certainly hire from the Netscape ranks.

The upside in hiring folks from the other services is that they have a following and they have been doing it for over a year.

Netscape is only a month old, and it's best we wait a couple of months before we hire from that pool.

Of course, if this doesn't work we might cancel the whole concept of paying people.

Digg sucks anyway. I wouldnt have a problem, except that they lie about how their site works and is moderated. Any place as oppresive and misrepresented as digg simply cant survive in a competitive enviroment.
